Meet Rachel Griffith, President of GMU’s PRSSA
Rachel is a senior, communication major concentrating in Public Relations with a minor in Sports Communication. She says she joined PRSSA to “increase my presence on campus and network with some of the top professionals in PR.
If there was one word to describe her, she says she’d be best defined as fierce.
When she’s not making presidential decisions, she loves spending time with her “baby” dob Duchess, friends and family.
Currently, she’s interning for a Maryland-based boutique firm, All in PR, Inc. and dreams of working for the Washington D.C. Capitals, doing Sports PR.

Meet Jasmine Smith, Vice-President of GMU’s PRSSA
Jasmine is a senior, communication major concentrating in Public Relations with a minor in Electronic Journalism. She joined PRSSA as a way to “further drive my passion for PR. Without PRSSA, I don’t know where I’d be!” The best way to describe her, she says, is a fire-cracker
When she’s not involved with PRSSA, Jasmine is directing the school’s praise dance team under the gospel ministry AVU, interning virtually for a online magazine, Bronze Mag. She’s a HUGE social media buff and loves to connect to people.

Meet Ryckera ‘Rycki’ Robertson, Treasurer of GMU’s PRSSA
Ryckera, better known as Rycki is a senior majoring in Communication concentrating in Public Relations and minoring in Sports Communication. Rycki joined PRSSA because, she “wanted to get hands on experience in the field & network with Public Relations professionals in the area.”
She’s best described as excitable.
When she’s not handling the budget of PRSSA she’s extremely active in her sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and loves her role as a GMU Cheerleader. She dreams of doing PR for the Washington Redskins and is a huge Redskins fan, but of course!

Meet Daniel Marks, Social Media Liaison of GMU’s PRSSA
Daniel is a junior majoring in Communications concentrating in Public Relations with a double minor in Journalism and Sports Communication. He says he joined PRSSA because, “no communications organizations on campus provide better networking opportunities.”
He’s best described as boisterous and full of energy.
When he’s not posting or sharing things for PRSSA he’s managing 6 other social media accounts for his fraternity and other organizations.

Meet Erika Schaefer, Spring Event Coordinator for GMU’s PRSSA
Erika is senior majoring in communications concentrating in Public Relations. She says she joined PRSSA because, “I wanted to network, and figure out the broad field of PR. I wanted a pathway.”
She’s best described as loving.
When she’s not planning events for the chapter, she’s interning for Beer Institute, a D.C.-based national trade association.

Jennifer is a senior majoring in Communications concentrating in Public Relations and minoring in Tourism & Events Management. She says she joined PRSSA “to learn more out Public Relations and to get involved on campus.”
She’s best described as bubbly— when she’s not bubbling over with joy, Jennifer is enjoying being an aunt, spending time with family, the gym and a good time with friends.
She hopes to pursue event planning and PR within any field.

Meet Sergei Samoilenko, Faculty Advisor for GMU’s PRSSA
Sergei ‘Serge’ leads the chapter with the invaluable wealth of knowledge regarding Public Relations. His career spans the test of time and he enjoy pouring out that knowledge, the tips and networking tools and opportunities to the chapter.
As a native of Russia, Serge loves to go back home and visit, spend time with family and uplift the students of George Mason University.
